Two Ply Hand Spun Art Yarn

Hand spun into a thick chunky two ply art yarn - 50 Yards.
A pre-blended mix of  20% Eider Wool, 20% Alpaca, 20% Seacell, 20% Linen and 20% wool fibres. Hand spun into this beautiful two, thick and thin yarn.

The Eider wool, Seacell and Linen are course fibres which give this yarn a tough and course feel.  This blend is not recommend for clothing but would be perfect for weaving.

Spun on my Ashford Spinning wheel,  these fibres were spun clockwise to make a single ply, then spun anti-clockwise to form the 2 ply.

Handmade in Nova Scotia, Canada. This art yarn was spun on my Ashford KIWI spinning wheel, in a smoke-free, environment.

Even though this art yarn has been soaked in water to help secure the twist, if you are cutting into any art yarn to work into a project, you need to tie off your ends!! 

There may be bits of yarn fibers straying as you are working with it. I do my best to secure these little fibers in the yarn, but there will be some shedding.
