Moody Blue Art Batt - 100g

Materials: 
38% Merino, 
40% Shetland,
12% Corriedale, 
6% Bio-Nylon,
3% Bamboo, and 
1% Silk.

These hand made Art Batts contain moody blue shades highlighted with lighter blues, greens and reds, using Merino wool, Corriedale wool, silks, Angelina and Bio-Nylon fibres. This means that the fibres are not as soft as pure merino, but they have a crispness that will make them straight forward to spin. 

There are two batts, both weight 100 grams (3.5 oz). Both contain the same amounts of each type of fibre but they are slightly different due to the bending process. You will receive one of the art batts pictured. 

Art Batts are great for spinning, wet felting or needle felting. As they are made mostly of Corriedale wool they will be straight forward to spin - excellent for a beginner. 
Spinning from an art batt can be daunting for a beginner.  I find it easier to split the art batt into long sections about the width of roving. this makes it a little more manageable.

Most of the fibres in this blend will felt. If you do not wish them to felt,  hand wash in cool water any product you make.

The materials for these batts were hand selected and carded using my 11 inch wide drum carder. You will receive the Batt pictured that weights 100 grams.

Photos were taken without filters to ensure the most accurate color and texture. However, different screens may display colors differently.

Don't Spin?
Try covering an empty clean jar with thin sections of fibre from this batt and attaching them with a good layer of mod podge and water mixed.  Once dry, pop some twinkle lights in the jar and enjoy the light ~ ♥ ~
